Toyota Prius Prime Wins 2017 World Green Car Award
The Toyota Prius Prime continues to earn recognition for its outstanding efficiency. Most recently, the Prius Prime was awarded the 2017 World Green Car Award at the New York International Auto Show. As you can imagine, the whole team at Stevinson Toyota East was excited to hear this news, as was Jack Hollis, group vice president and general manager of Toyota division, who said:

Not the first time in the winner's circle
This is the 13th year for the World Car Awards, but it's not the first time Toyota has taken home such an honor. Last year, for example, the Mirai received the World Green Car Award, and in 2013, 2010, 2009, and 2006, Toyota models as varied as the Prius, GT86, and iQ were finalists or won outright, demonstrating the quality of the automaker's lineup, especially when it comes to efficiency.
How were the vehicles judged?
This year, the Prius Prime went up against 11 other new vehicles in its category from around the world, all of which were judged on a number of factors, including, tailpipe emissions, fuel consumption, and other features specifically designed to make the vehicle more environmentally responsible. Vehicles in all categories were then voted on by a 75-member jury panel composed of automotive journalists from 23 countries around the world.
Frankly, we're not surprised the Prius Prime was named top of the pack.
